The Pakistan Movement or Tehreek-e-Pakistan was a religio-political movement in the 1940s that aimed for creation of Pakistan from the Muslim-majority areas of the British Indian Empire. As the British agreed to the partitioning of India in 1947, Pakistan was created on 14 August 1947 (27th of Ramadan in 1366 of the Islamic Calendar), amalgamating the Muslim-majority eastern and northwestern regions of British India. Muhammad Ali Jinnah, (25 December 1876 – 11 September 1948) is the founder of Pakistan. After the Independence of Pakistan, he became the Governor-General of Pakistan. As a mark of respect, we call him Quaid-e-Azam the biggest Quaid.
