Math 12 Chapter 5
Linear Inequalities and Linear Programming
Test - 7

Math Class 12
1. The graph of the inequality 2x @ -3 is the open half plane to the left of the line 2x = -3.

2. The graph of y £ 2 consists of the boundary line and the open half plane below the line y = 2.

3. The variables used in the system of linear inequalities relating to the problems of every day life are non-negative and are called non-negative constraints.

4. The non-negative constraints play an important role for making decision. So these variables are called decision variables.

5. The region restricted to the first quadrant, is referred as a feasible region for the set of given constraints.

6. Any point of the feasible region of the system of the linear inequalities is called corner point.

7. The point (4,1) is a corner point of the linear inequalities x-y < 3 £ x+2y £ 6.
