Chemical Equilibrium - 13

Chemistry Class 11
1. At equilibrium rate of forward reaction is more than the rate of reverse reaction.

2. Reaction between stoichiometric amounts of reactants which proceeds to completion is called an irreversible reaction.

3. After equilibrium what ever be a chemical reaction allowed to continue under same condition, the percentage composition of species present remains constant.

4. The composition of equilibrium mixture will be different when reaction starts by mixing reactant or products.

5. Rate at which the reaction proceeds is directly proportional to the product of active masses of the reactants.

6. Daltons law of partial pressure is given by Kc=Kp(RT)Δn

7. When the concentration of substances at equilibrium stage are expressed in term of mole fractions, than equilibrium contant is denoted by Kn.

8. Extent of reaction can not be determined by the value of equilibrium constant at a given temperature.
