1. In ectomycorrhizae, fungal hyphae penetrate the outer cell of plant root.


2. Fungi can tolerate a wide range of pH from 2 - 9.


3. Spores may be produced by sexual or asexual process.


4. Conidia are motile, asexual spores which are cut off at the end of conidiophores.


5. Budding is simple breaking of myceluim of some hyphal fungi.


6. Fusion of nuclei is called as plasmogamy.


7. Zygospore is a temporary, dormant, thick - walled resistant structure formed by fusion of hyphae.


8. Yeasts ferment fats to ethanol and carbondioxide.
